Waialua Community Kitchen

Who We Are
“The Waialua Community Kitchen is a licensed and shared-use commercial kitchen where local entrepreneurs, caterers, pushcart vendors, civic groups, and producers of specialty foods can manufacture their goods at an affordable rate.”

Where We Are
“The kitchen is located in Waialua next to the Waialua Sugar Mill, in the only industrial zone on the North Shore.  The grounds recall the historical significance the sugar plantation era.  Established in 1865, the Waialua Sugar Mill was the region’s economic backbone for over a century.  This large amount of land surrounding the kitchen also provides a panoramic backdrop of the Waianae Mountains.”

How we do it
“The Kitchen is managed by a non-profit advisory group staffed by and for area residents. We wish to expand economic development opportunities while protecting Waialua’s small town atmosphere and plantation heritage.”

For information on how to use the kitchen or assist us in our endeavors, please contact John Hirota at (808)551-4464. You can also download a kitchen reservation form and policy sheet here.
